In the Garden of Light & Sketches from Europe

Curated by Lee Mei-Ling, Honorary Director of the Art Center, "In the Garden of Light & Sketches from Europe" features Paul Chiang’s newest works created in Taitung, Paris, and Lisbon, showcasing his ongoing creative vitality.

Since the Art Center opened in March 2025, Chiang has continued to create every day—working in a temporary studio at the Art Center and later during his time in Paris and Lisbon, where the crisp Atlantic light inspired the refined and modern Sketches from Europe, while the Garden of Light series from Taitung radiates movement and vitality.

The exhibition also includes the Jazz-Jinzun and newly revisited Song Without Words series. Gallery 3 presents his spiritual works, highlighted by the kinetic sculpture Jinzun -Transfigured Night, accompanied by Mahler’s Symphony No. 5 to lead viewers back to the essence of creation.

For the first time, Gallery 1 reopens as Chiang’s working studio, inviting visitors to experience the creative process up close.
